Project overview

A landmark deployment for dependable 5G backup power.

In 2018, CO-WIN partnered with China Mobile to build and commission this hydrogen backup power installation in Guangzhou’s Tianhe District.

The project applies a methanol-water hydrogen fuel cell generator to a 5G service aggregation equipment room, supplying clean and dependable backup energy for critical telecom infrastructure infrastructure. Its longest recorded backup-power service period reached 2,097 days as of June 28, 2024.
