In 2021, CO-WIN partnered with FiberHome to deploy a methanol-water hydrogen fuel cell generator at an island telecom services base station in the Philippines.

The system successfully completed a 72-hour uninterrupted test followed by a 60-day national network access test. During the extended program, it generated power for a variable three to eight hours per day, demonstrating flexible duty-cycle operation in an island environment.
